Who doesn’t enjoy an evening in the pub? A night out with friends? We all know, what compliments your favourite beverage is a nice bar snack. Unfortunately, until recently, we’ve all had to endure the same old choices. Is it crisps, nuts or pork scratchings? The most popular of which is the pork scratchings but what’s often linked to this snack is the phrase “I love the taste but they break my teeth!” If only there was something on the market which gave us the great taste of the pork scratching, but had the softer texture of pork crackling. Also, rather than just buying cold, pre-packaged items, what if it could be served warm, in a purpose built warming machine? |
Fortunately, two young men from Yorkshire have taken this dream and turned it into reality and created Naked Pig, taking the finest, premium pork crackling on the market and making it available in it’s own warming machine allowing us all to enjoy the perfect taste at the perfect temperature.
The Naked Pig team started with two lifelong friends, Nick & Jason. Jason had a background in Pork Crackling and Nick, account management and customer service. Not only did they want to produce the perfect bar snack, they also wanted to provide a service second to none, something which is sadly missed in this strange and modern world. Luckily Nick & Jason's past customers knew what to expect, they’d dealt with them before. They knew they’d do what they say they’d do.
So, from a small 1500 sq ft unit in South Yorkshire, they set to it, building a small customer base which, through customer recommendations, started to grow quite rapidly. Their carbon footprint was important to them too and wherever possible items were recycled or reused. With electric vehicles on the agenda, Naked Pig know they are not perfect, but they help towards today’s global warming issues.
